Windows Live Mesh. Why didn’t I think of that?

Windows Live mesh. cool, right? Install the client on as many computers you want (Mac or Windows), and you can access their files from anyplace.  Pretty sweet. But, until it gets a Linux client, I don’t have much use for it unless I’m at a library or someplace.

So I got my Google Wave invite today…

And , I think, until Google opens it up to more people, I don’t see much usefulness in it. But once it is open, it’ll be crazyawesome But, Google needs to beef up there servers a heck of a lot, because even in waves with 5-6 people, I noticed some serious lag when typing.
Oh, and before you ask… I do not have any invites to give away, nor is this post meant for people to comment begging for an invite.

Verizon has just kicked it up a notch.

Prepare yourselves. Verizon is now officially awesome.
With their new “iDon’t” ads, they’re trying to kick Apple, right where it hurts. They’re pumping the release of the new Droid, supposedly from Motorola. The phone’s got a 5 Megapixel camera, rumored to be Android 2.0, a real keyboard, possibly a flash (it said it could take pics in the dark.
The ad is very much a teaser, it doesn’t show us the phone, and neither does the website. All you get is a link to sign up for email updates (which I did), and a weird not-in-any-kind-of-readable-text countdown of some sort. I’m pretty psyched, unless it flops, like the Storm. There is a video after the jump.

So, in a “Why didn’t I think of that earlier?” Moment, I’ve installed Dropbox on both of my computers. Before, I used a flash drive to transfer files back and forth between the two. Dropbox is 2GB of free storage, or, you can pay for up to 100GB. You install the client on all of your computers, Mac, Windows, Linux, and recently, the iPhone, and it syncs your files between all of them. An extra 250MB for you, and 250MB for me when you sign up through this link here

Computers and stuff.

Just installed KDE 4.3.1 on my sisters’ computer.

Yes, my sisters use linux. I installed it to make their computer faster, and they love it. It’s not at all hard to use, and is really powerful, despite lacking in some “normal” features. You all should try it now.

Right now I’m torrenting openSUSE 11.1 to dual boot with my ubuntu system, should be fun, except for the fact that it’s taking FOREVER!!! please seed!

anyway, anyone have experience with openSUSE? Mainly dual booting with Ubuntu? Anyway, I think that’s all for today.
